Mike Powers

CFO

Mike is the Chief Financial Officer, is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee and is responsible for overseeing all matters relating to accounting, compliance, reporting, finance, asset management, property management and underwriting. Prior to joining Homewood, Mike was a Senior Associate at CohnReznick, which has one of the most extensive and experienced affordable housing industry practices in the U.S. While at CohnReznick, Mike conducted government and investor required financial statement audits along with various Agreed-Upon Procedures engagements relating to the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program. Mike has extensive experience working directly with for-profit and non-profit developers along with syndicators, investors, and lenders in all phases of the tax credit lifecycle.

Mike earned a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from the University of Delaware Alfred College of Business & Economics and is a Certified Public Accountant.
